The press service of the International Skating Union (ISU) explained when the issue of admitting Russian juniors will be addressed.

Previously, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended allowing participants in youth tournaments to compete with their flag and anthem. The IOC’s recommendations to admit adult athletes only under neutral status and strict conditions remain in effect.

“The next ISU Council meeting is scheduled for January. As with all council meetings, the agenda will be determined by the council, and we cannot confirm in advance which specific items will be discussed.

According to our previous statement, decisions regarding eligibility for ISU competitions are made by the ISU Council, and it is expected that the council will consider the IOC’s recommendation at the appropriate time,” the ISU press service stated.
