On the 24th, Chiba (20) returned to Kansai International Airport in Osaka from Helsinki. With back-to-back series victories, she now leads the points rankings and has secured a spot in the Grand Prix Final (December 4–7, Aichi IG Arena). Here’s a translation of her comments posted on Nikkansports.

“I’m really happy with the results I achieved,” she said with a smile, but added, “I found a lot of things to reflect on and improve. For the Final and Nationals, I want to rebuild my stamina so I can overcome these big events with power and energy,” she said, maintaining a calm mindset ahead of the major competitions.

“Last year, I felt I was a bit low on energy at Nationals,” she reflected, having identified this as a late-season issue. “Nationals need to be where I’m at my most powerful, so I want to push through to that point.” She told.
