Loena Hendrickx withdrew from the free skate at the Finland Grand Prix due to illness, prioritizing her health and promising to return stronger.
In the short program held on November 21, Hendrickx fell twice on her jumps and finished in 11th place.
Today she posted on her Instagram Stories:
“Health is important, and I wasn’t feeling well. I hadn’t been eating properly for a few days and my energy was too low. And even though I’m a fighter and wanted to give it my all, I was feeling too weak. That’s why we decided to fly back home so I can get the rest I need.
I’m sorry to let you down, but I promise to put myself and my health first, and to come back stronger. Thank you for the unconditional support!”
