Adam Siao Him Fa struggled in what he labeled his “worst competition” at the French Masters. Here’s a translation of his comments posted on L’Equipe.
Adam Siao Him Fa (219.56 points) opened his free skate with three falls before underrotating two additional jumps. “There’s not much to say,” admitted the 2024 World bronze medalist and last winter’s fourth-place finisher, visibly perplexed. “It’s quite disappointing. Overall – considering the competition, the practices, the short program, and the free skate – this is by far… my worst competition.”
Despite promising preparation in recent weeks – where his programs featuring four to five quadruple jumps had gone smoothly in practice – Adam Siao Him Fa appeared lost both on and off the ice, unable to pinpoint the reasons behind his mistakes.
“There’s work to be done, that’s clear,” he acknowledged. “But I don’t know what I need to change, I don’t know what direction to focus on… I’m still processing it all, but I have another competition in 10 days, so I need to regroup quickly.”
Adam Siao Him Fa is set to compete at the Lombardia Trophy in Bergamo, where he’ll face competitors like American Ilia Malinin and Japan’s Yuma Kagiyama.
