“Q: How did you overcome your eating disorder?”
Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva: It took years of my life. At first, there was complete rejection and indifference from those around me. Then came my own acceptance and, eventually, indifference from myself. But eventually, everything led to a positive outcome.”
She continued by expressing sadness about how some people dismiss or judge those who struggle with such issues:
“It’s still disheartening to hear when people treat this dismissively, and even worse, with judgment. To me, that shows a person’s shallowness. Frankly, it triggers a negative reaction.”
Reflecting on her journey to recovery, Khudaiberdieva stressed the importance of mental balance and self-awareness in her life today:
“It’s always about staying in balance with your thoughts, having a clear head, meditating, and taking care of yourself. I started cooking for myself a couple of years ago, and through self-analysis, I’ve gotten to where I am now.”
