The Executive Committee of the Russian Figure Skating Federation did not approve Veronika Zhilina’s transfer to Azerbaijan. This was announced by Anton Sikharulidze, the head of the Russian Figure Skating Federation. Here’s translation of his comments posted on RSport.
“This year, several transfers were approved, mostly involving young children who moved abroad with their parents for permanent residence. There were no significant transfers.
Veronika Zhilina cannot transfer to any country because, at the moment, she is still a member of the Russian national team, and we do not fully understand why she is not competing. We are waiting for her.
I would advise her to start competing. She has great potential, and she is a very talented athlete,” said Sikharulidze.
