Despite showing consistent skating in her short program throughout the season, mistakes during the competition led to a somewhat disappointing result. Korean Ahsun Yun didn’t advance to the free program and finished the competitions on 31st place. Here’s a translation of her comments posted on MFocus.

After the event, Yun expressed her disappointment in the mixed zone: “I’m feeling a bit frustrated because the results were not what I hoped for,” she said. She added, “I practiced a lot, but I wasn’t able to show everything in the competition, and that’s disappointing.”

After the Four Continents Championship, she switched her boots and had to go through an adjustment period, which made it difficult to maintain optimal condition. “It seems like switching my boots required more time than I expected,” she explained. “Even though I prepared hard for this last competition of the season, it’s upsetting that the results didn’t meet my expectations.”

When asked about her reflections on starting the 2024-2025 season in Massachusetts and finishing it in the same region, Yoon shared, “It was a long season for me, but I learned so much and enjoyed it as well. It was an honor to compete on such a big stage again,” she said.

Regarding her plans for next season, she replied, “I haven’t made concrete plans yet,” choosing to remain reserved.
