NADO Italia (National Anti-Doping Organization of Italy) has declined to provide details of the decision regarding Daniel Grassl’s case. This was posted on RSport, here’s a translation of the article.
In early September 2023, it was reported that Italian single skater Daniel Grassl missed three doping tests. Earlier, he had left the group of Eteri Tutberidze, with whom he had been training since January 2023.
Later on, the Italian figure skater withdrew from all competitions for the season. In December, the Italian Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office requested a two-year disqualification for him, according to agency ANSA.
However, Grassl is listed for the Grand Prix series in the 2024/25 season, and posts about training have appeared on the athlete’s social networks.
‘As per Italian Legislative Decree on the protection of confidentiality, we cannot respond to your request,’ NADO Italia told ‘R-Sport’.
‘You should contact the National Results Management Authority, in this case NADO Italia,’ responded the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to a similar request.”
