Former agent of Alexandra Trusova, Alexei Nikolaev, told ‘Match TV’ that the figure skater has decided to resume her sports career.
The athlete last participated in competitions in 2022 and completely missed the 2023/24 season.
‘For me, Alexandra Trusova is a person who performed an incredible feat at the Olympics. The decision to resume her career shows her unyielding will to achieve her goals – international recognition. I am glad that she is ready to continue her sports career.
The current situation in Russian and world figure skating is such that her talent and perseverance can now be properly appreciated,’ Nikolaev told ‘Match TV’.
Later, Trusova posted on her Telegram channel that Nikolaev is not her agent.
RSport also reported that Trusova is going to resume her career.
“Alexandra Trusova plans to perform at the Russian national team’s test skates.”
This was reported by “R-Sport”, citing a source in the Figure Skating Federation of Russia (FSFR).
The final decision on Trusova’s participation in the test skates and competitions will be made later – based on the results of summer training, as well as in accordance with the position of the FSFR.”
