Mao Shimada and Mone China told about their participation in the ice show “Bloom on Ice”. Here’s a translation of their comment.

“Since it’s an ice show where the audience is close, I want to be conscious of my facial expressions so they can resonate with the audience. I want to enjoy myself and make sure the audience enjoys it as well,” Shimada said with a smile. In preparation for her goal for next season of “three consecutive wins in the World Junior Championships”, she self-analyzed that she “lacks in the skating and expressive sections”, and is going to raise her awareness through the show.

Mone Chiba, making her first appearance, also showed enthusiasm, saying, “I’ve been in a few ice shows since last year, and I’ve slowly grasped how to appeal to the audience. I want to appeal by making eye contact with each and every member of the audience.”
