“Today I made up for my failure in the short program. This was my best skate in my life, I’m happy.
After the short program, I was discouraged and very angry with myself. It was a huge disappointment for everyone, but most importantly, for me. I probably burned out and got too nervous. The saddest thing is that I couldn’t handle the pressure and stress.
My coaches really supported me. They said that today I had to fight and that I shouldn’t give up. I should skate aggressively and completely change the mindset.

Today during the six-minute warmup I realized that I was ready to attack. I had to withstand and do all the jumps.

“This World Championships was like a roller coaster for me. I went through a hurricane of emotions. After the short, I didn’t expect to end up on the podium at all. I went to skate the free program without any expectations. I still can’t believe that I won the bronze at the World Championships.
Did I watch Ilia’s skate? Of course, is there anyone who didn’t? It’s out of this world. He landed 6 quads – so that means I need to work even harder.
