Figure skater Marin Honda became an ambassador for “Miness,” a new brand from the global blade manufacturer Kai Corporation and attended a media presentation held in Tokyo on the 27th. Here’s a translation of some of her comments posted on Nikkansports.
“I have been interested in beauty because I have continued to seek beauty in figure skating,” said Honda.
A dermatologist who was present at the presentation praised her skin, and Marin also shared her experiences, saying, “In competitions, there are many costumes that show the skin, which has been a familiar concern since I was young. I am interested in skincare and pay attention to it. In figure skating, the rink is dry, so I focus on moisturizing.”
She also mentioned “cleansing” as a beauty secret. She confessed that even on days when she doesn’t wear makeup (and she usually does not except for work or figure skating events) she never skips cleansing. She emphasized using gentle milk or gel types for cleansing.
Miness pursues a stress-free user experience, and when asked about recent moments when Honda didn’t feel stressed, she confessed, “I bought a drum-type washing machine that I had been longing for.” She expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m impressed that it can dry without hanging. It lifted my spirits,” and humorously added, “I’m sorry…I keep talking about washing machines,” eliciting laughter from the audience.
