The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has disqualified figure skater Kamila Valieva for 4 years for violating anti-doping rules. All her awards since December 25, 2021, have been annulled.
After Valieva’s result was annulled at the 2022 Olympics, the International Skating Union (ISU) awarded Russia the bronze in the team event, with the first place going to the US team.
Dmitri Svishchev, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports said that lawyers are prepared to challenge Valieva’s ban. Here’s a translation of his comment.
“Lawyers now have the opportunity to challenge all decisions that were made against Kamila Valieva, which we believe were unlawfully made.
Currently, lawyers and the federation are preparing a strong position that, we hope, will influence a change in the CAS decision, which unlawfully decided to suspend our athlete for four years,” said Dmitri Svishchev, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports.

Ja, judge all Russians, all together. They are all non-worthy idiots… Enjoy your supremacy.
The only thing that actually is unlawful here is ISU’s decision to give Russia bronze. Because according to, again, ISU’s very own rules the bronze goes to Canada and Russia is fourth. Period.
