Earlier, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) disqualified Kamila Valieva for 4 years for doping. Her results at the 2022 Olympics were annulled, leading to Russian figure skaters being awarded bronze in the team event instead of gold.

Galliamov participated in the competition in a pair with Anastasiia Mishina.

“If the International Olympic Committee (IOC) wants to award us medals (I hope it is indeed them awarding) for the team event, I would suggest they send us an official invitation. I don’t know how other guys from our team would view this, but I think Nastya (Mishina) and I would go to Lausanne to clarify this situation. After all, no correspondence can replace a face-to-face conversation,” he said.

“In Europe, they really love Russian figure skating, and with their ways and speed of movement, I’m sure that Italians, French, Germans, and our Slavic brothers – fans of Russian figure skating – would join. Maybe then they would pay attention to the significance and development of figure skating in Russia and for Russia.

Nastya and I have always respected the Olympic movement in its original form and always attended any events upon the first invitation. I personally refuse to accept anything by mail or through third parties,” said Galliamov.

Arrogant cheaters. They shouldnt6have been there to dope again. Enough. They should receive a decade long ban until they admit their wrongdoing.

Oh, but you are totally wrong, Galiamov. Especially Europe sees Russian figure skaters as en extension of Russian state, which you in fact are, since you all are sponsored by Kremlin. Besides, ISU math was totally wrong and you are the wrong medalists. It is Canada’s medal. Besides, you are not neutral athlete, so neither you or Anastasia are going anywhere. And the very same applies to Sinitsina, Kondratiuk and Katsalapov.
