–Former Russian ice dancer Ekaterina Bobrova commented on the new programs of Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin. Here’s the translation of her comment.
“It seems to me that they’ve been working on the skating skills, and it’s clear that it has improved. However, it seems that they didn’t fully develop the choreography, both with Michael Jackson and ‘Swan Lake.’
They’ve taken on quite complex themes that you either unveil with a ‘wow’ effect, or it simply lets you down, which, unfortunately, seems to be happening so far. Maybe they haven’t polished it yet; we’ll see.
I know that they are capable dancers. I’ve seen them post things occasionally, and they move well on the ice. You can expect a fantastic Michael Jackson performance from them. However, I haven’t seen that in their program yet, to be honest,” said Bobrova.”

I cant’t agree with E. Bobrova, because I think
they made a lot of progress both at skating skills and at choreography. I like their programmes very much. But however, ice dance is a matter of taste, in former times like at E. Bobrova’s active skating time and today as well.
