Figure skater Anna Shcherbakova talked about her trip to China in August.
“I recently joked that I felt like a rock star there. It was hard to believe when I saw so many fans. I’m incredibly pleased that I was welcomed so warmly there. I am very happy with the trip. Although I had very little free time, I managed to walk around Shenzhen. It amazed me with its numerous skyscrapers, green parks, and beautiful waterfront.
As for Chinese cuisine, I think on this trip, I tried more new dishes than in my entire life. I’m not a fan of spicy food, but I still discovered many new delicious dishes. We were constantly accompanied by Chinese friends on this trip, and we had a lot of conversations with them, asking about their traditions and rules of conduct in China. It turned out we have a lot in common.
Of course, there is still so much I want to see in China, visit its landmarks, and just immerse myself in the atmosphere of this vast country,” said the Olympic champion of Beijing 2022.
