Petrosian presented her new short program to Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song” and “They Don’t Care About Us” during the test skates.
“I wanted something dance-like, and they suggested Jackson to me. I will try to give it my all to show at least a bit of what Jackson did.
Is there a lot of programs to Jackson this season? It turned out that way. When we were choosing the music, I didn’t know it would be like this.
So far the most important element in my short program is missing – the triple axel. I’m preparing it for the first grand prix stage,” said the figure skater.
Adeliia Petrosian believes that she could have performed better at the test skates.
The figure skater performed her free program, attempting two quadruple flips – on the first jump, she touched down, and on the second one, she fell.
“For me, the test skates went 50-50. I didn’t fully express my emotions, and the jumps are still letting me down. I think it’s because my shape isn’t perfect yet due to the early season.
I’m not afraid to jump quads. I believe I have to maintain the level I set last season. I hope I can enter the season and show results,” said Petrosian.
Last season, Petrosian won the Russian Grand Prix Final.
