The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has reported that the 16-year-old junior champion of Russia in figure skating, Alina Gorbacheva, has been taken to a unit of the Moscow Investigative Committee with the participation of her legal representative and a psychologist.

Gorbacheva went missing in Moscow on Monday evening after leaving the ice rink at “Chkalov Arena” and not returning home. The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow initiated a preliminary investigation into the athlete’s mysterious disappearance, and later a criminal case was opened under the charge of “Murder.”

On Tuesday, the prosecutor’s office reported that at 13:00 Moscow time, Gorbacheva was captured on surveillance cameras in a cafe on Volokolamskoye Shosse. Later, one of the EMERCOM employees participating in the search for the athlete informed “Match TV” that Gorbacheva was seen in the vicinity of the Moscow Road (MKAD).

In the evening of Tuesday, the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office located her in a cinema within one of the shopping centers. According to preliminary information, no illegal actions have been taken against her. Currently, her life and health are not under threat.

“The minor has been brought to the unit of the Moscow Investigative Committee. With the participation of her legal representative and a psychologist, investigators have started conducting investigative actions with her,” the agency’s statement reads.

Gorbacheva is the winner of the junior championship of Russia in 2023. The athlete works with coach Sofia Fedchenko.
