“On Wednesday, the German Skating Union (DEU) received the authorization from the International Skating Union (ISU) for the new pair Minerva Fabienne Hase/Nikita Volodin. The 23-year-old skater from St. Petersburg is the new partner of Berlin-based pair skater Minerva Fabienne Hase. After obtaining the clearance for Nikita Volodin from Russia, the DEU applied to the ISU for the right to compete as the pair Fabienne Hase/Volodin and received the authorization within a few days, effective from June 23, 2023. The new pair Minerva Fabienne Hase/Nikita Volodin will be able to compete for Germany in international competitions from the 2023/2024 season onwards, joining the ranks of three strong German pair skating teams at the forefront of European competition. The ambitious goal of this promising new pair is to secure a spot at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan, Italy.”
