Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin left the coaching group of Alexander Svinin and Irina Zhuk and plan to continue their careers with Alexander Zhulin. Alexander Zhulin commented on this transfer.
Alexander Zhulin: Bukin and Stepanova moved to my group. For me, this is a pleasant surprise, this is a top pair. It will be a pleasure to work with them. We will start training when Sasha is in optimal condition. Now she’s a little sick.
Earlier Stepanova posted on her Telegram: “Friends, long time no see! Vanya and I have not competed for several months, but we hope to please you with our skating.
We believe that next season it will be possible not only at domestic competitions, but also at international ones. Russia must be there!”
She also posted a gratitude comments to their previous coaches on her Instagram page shortly after the comment made by Zhulin.

To date, all of our sports path with Ivan, we went through with our only coaches – Alexander Vasilyevich Svinin and Irina Vladimirovna Zhuk. And now the moment has come when there are not so many competitive seasons left for us, and we decided to try to switch to another coach – Alexander Zhulin.
Therefore, today we really want to say thanks to our coaches for all 16 years, to say thank you that we were together and went to the results that we achieved! Thank you for everything!
Of course, not only our coaches stood behind us, but also a whole team of specialists and professionals in their field! Choreographers, physical trainers, acting and ballroom dancing teachers. Our doctors, massage therapists and a psychologist also took care of our physical and mental health.
