Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara won the short program at the 2023 World championships in Saitama with a score of 80.72 points.

Riku Miura: We are happy that today we managed to show everything that we prepared in training.

When I saw the scores on the monitor in the kiss&cry, I couldn’t help jumping from joy. It was a real outburst of emotions.

But I didn’t know that only we can see the scores so far and the audience is not aware of them. So I had to jump twice, haha.
