Daniel Grassl: How is my life in Moscow? I’m still not very used to it; it’s difficult, of course. I’m pretty lonely there, and I miss home. And the weather there is quite unusual—so cold!
But there is such a warm atmosphere at the rink; we train so much, and I really like what comes out of it. I really feel that I have more strength and motivation, and this is what I especially need this year. In general, I set myself one of the goals for the next season: to beat in jumps all those girls with whom I train in Moscow.
A year ago, you said that you dreamed of skating on the same ice with Anna Shcherbakova.
Daniel Grassl: Yes, I did it—it was great! It was a wonderful training session. I have never trained before in a group where they do so many quad jumps and where there is such a high level of competition. It moves you forward.
