Tracy Wilson: Jason is a top skater and he just loves performing. For him, the chance to perform in front of his native audience at an event of such a level is priceless. It is also a professional challenge for him, both technically and artistically. It’s not easy to decide on leaving his comfort zone and get back into the competitive environment.
Jason is an amazing athlete. It is important for him not just to skate in front of the audience – participation in the show is not enough for him. Competetive drive cheers him up. He has new competitive programs; he takes these competitions seriously.
Yes, he is going to the National Championships not for the title, but he has something to offer for the public. And the public is waiting for him. And you know, it’s very important that Brown’s example proves that skaters can and should be different because everyone has their own strengths.
