Alexandra Trusova: Well, I won’t discuss my current situation. I’ve made that decision.
Yes, Mark and I broke up a while ago. It was his initiative. He made the decision, and put me in a situation where he simply said “that’s it, I can’t anymore”. That’s his choice. I tried for a long time to get everything back to how it was, so I didn’t talk about it much, didn’t write about it, tried to avoid this information.
Q: So you were experiencing it inside, just not showing it?
Alexandra Trusova: Yes. I probably want to tell people who follow my social media: what I show there does not reflect my entire life.
I believe that everyone has a lot of problems in life. There are situations in life that can cause people to be upset. And I don’t think it’s very good or right to pass on your problems to other people because people want to see positivity. They should not see that “She’s upset right now.”
At times when I was feeling down and upset, people would say how happy I seemed – in the videos. Yes, I know how to do that. And I have realized that it’s essentially my job. If I go to work and I need to appear happy and smiling – that’s how I’ll be.
What happens at home doesn’t leave my house or my family – not all of it, mostly my mother. And my friends. These are the people who have helped me get out of such a state.
Q: How long was your tough period when you had to portray a different image in public while dealing with the breakup? Was it a long period or did you get over it rather quickly?
Alexandra Trusova: It lasted around three-four months. From the beginning of August to the beginning of November – something like that,” said Alexandra Trusova.
