Rostislav Sinicyn: It would be interesting to see the rivalry between the world’s leading ice dance duets and Russian ones. It would be even more interesting to see what dances Aleksandra Stepanova – Ivan Bukin and Victoria Sinitsina – Nikita Katsalapov were ready to present. No one in the coaching circle spoke about Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin, who are training in the USA.

The ice dance competition at the Grand Prix Final in Turin was the most interesting of the four disciplines. The final placement could have been different, but the fall let down the Canadian duo of Laurence Fournier-Beaudry and Nikolaj Sorensen, who previously represented Denmark.

The Italians Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri have a very interesting free dance in a new style for them. The Americans, Madison Chock and Evan Bates, have a good dance, but they have already shown something similar. Although it turned out well.

Canadians Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier deservedly won, although they skated without brilliance. Apparently, nerves affected their performance. They looked brighter during the Grand Prix stages.
