According to Match TV, the three-time Russian and world champion Anna Shcherbakova had to change boots during the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing.

The old boots broke during one of the training sessions from intensive practice of quadruple jumps. A few days before the start of the individual competitions at the Olympics, Shcherbakova had to start breaking into a spare pair of skates, which she brought with her to Beijing. That’s why she had difficulties with quadruple jumps in the last trainings. Previously, in the practice run-throughs of the free program, she did three quadruples – a lutz and two flips.
