Tatiana Tarasova: I’m terribly sorry that you can not give two gold medals
Tatiana Tarasova about results in ice dance at the Olympics:
“It was an amazing performance,” – Tarasova said about the Canadian duo. “From the first seconds of the program, from the first element it was clear that they do not give away anything, not a single hundredth point, only gain and gain. They have never had such marks in their lives. But I’m terribly sorry that you can not give gold medals to the French also. This pair did not lose, it’s awesome, to see two such performances in one final.
These two pairs are celestials – you need to give four gold medals. It was clear that with each step Tessa was giving everything to win the gold. Papadakis and Cizeron, apart from her yesterday’s undress, also performed beautifully.
Both pairs are the best, no one lost here, they talk to God. Thanks to them, this is a great happiness.
As for the Russian pair Bobrova / Soloviev:
I’m sorry for our guys. Their short dance isn’t good, they should have changed it in September.
May I just ask where Tarasova as a consultant of Russian team was with her advices in September?)

As for me, the SD is more or less. They had changed it a lot before the Europeans. I find the FD tedious. Maybe it’s just not my cup of tea.
Perhaps Tatiana Tarasova WAS telling them back in September and they didn’t agree with her or ignored her — best not to make assumptions.
Upd. Yes, just watched the recording of the event with her comments, she said that she told them that it’s better to change the SD, but they didn’t listen to her.
Yes! It so easy to say so now when big battle is over. But I think it’s now so terrible to hear such words for Bobrova and Soloviev. Tarasova should be more polite…
