“With every new rule, figure skating becomes easier, and more people can achieve certain results without really possessing any unique qualities. Everyone has their own [unique quality].
I believe this is a sport – though I’ll probably get hate for saying it again. The slogan of sport is ‘faster, higher, stronger.’ Many say it’s an art, and yes, I agree, it’s about being able to combine everything, but you must not forget that it’s a sport. Otherwise, you could train once a week, skate beautifully, and win. That seems strange to me. For me, sport is about pushing the limits of human capability,” Trusova said in a Q&A video on her VKontakte page.
