Belgian figure Nina Pinzarrone will compete in the short program on Tuesday at the Winter Olympics, feeling confident and prepared after intensive training, aims for a strong score and aspires to earn at least an Olympic diploma. Here’s a translation of her comments posted on Sporza.
“What result am I aiming for? I want to do my best, and from what I’ve experienced in training, I know I can achieve a high score,” said Pinzarrone. “However, placement also depends on how others perform. I’m aiming to at least secure an Olympic diploma.”
Pinzarrone reflected on her preparation: “Over the past few weeks, after the European Championships, I’ve trained incredibly hard, and I feel more prepared than ever. I’m really happy to have reached this level of form at such an important moment in the season, especially after all the difficulties I’ve faced. It gives me a sense of mental peace.”
Furthermore, Hendrickx shared her mindset heading into the competition: “I’ve also worked on my mental approach to ensure I don’t let stress or emotions overwhelm me during this event. I hope it works, but I feel confident,” Pinzarrone told.
