New choreographer for Ilinykh and Zhiganshin

If nothing unpredictable will happen with three Russian ice dance duos (Bobrova-Soloviev, Sinitsina-Katsalapov, Stepanova-Bukin) the season for Elena Ilinykh and Ruslan Zhiganshin is over.

Yes, there are still some B-events and the Russian Cup Final but mainly the season is over. So, it’s time to think about dances for the new season. And to be back in game they need strong dances that will show their best features and will be well received by judges.

But who will be the choreographer. I doubt that it will be Najarro again. Here are some rumours.

Some really attentive fans could have noticed a new comment to one of Elena’s photos in instagram. Last comment to this pretty old photo.

The comment:

Looking through your Instagram, psycho type is finally formed! Will work well together)) Waiting for the music. 

That was a comment from Yuri Smekalov – dancer and choreographer of Mariinsky theatre. 

In figure skating he cooperates with Alexei Mishin. In 2003-2004 he was a choreographer of Evgeni Plushenko programs, and in 2008-2009 created programs  “Narcissus” and “Hermit” for Artur Gachinski.

So, should we expect a balletic program from Elena and Ruslan? Or maybe it’ll ve classic?
