According to Match TV, ice dancer Guillaume Cizeron has resumed his career and has teamed up with Laurence Fournier Beaudry.
On Saturday, the 30-year-old Cizeron posted a message on social media saying, “A new chapter is about to begin. I look forward to the opportunity to tell you more tomorrow at 14:00.”
Match TV has learned that Cizeron’s new partner will be 32-year-old Fournier Beaudry. The duo will compete under the French flag with plans to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games.
Fournier Beaudry previously skated with Nikolaj Sorensen for the Canadian team (and earlier for the Danish team). In 2024, the Canadian Figure Skating Federation suspended Sorensen from competitions following an investigation after allegations of sexual assault were brought against the athlete.
Cizeron previously competed with Gabriella Papadakis; their last performance together was in March 2022 at the World Championships in Montpellier, France, and in December 2024, the skaters announced their retirement.
Papadakis and Cizeron are the 2022 Olympic champions, five-time European champions, and five-time world champions in ice dance.
