“My goal for the season? It’s about maintaining a sense of novelty in the training process and interest in the work. To be honest, it’s not about medals. I want to keep the interest in my work so that it doesn’t leave me. Right now, I’ve come up with an interesting technical detail for jumps, and I showed it to a team in Switzerland and Turkey. It’s like night and day. If I maintain my interest, results will follow.
As for the neutralization procedure that’s being discussed in the ROC (Russian Olympic Committee)? I believe we should go anyway. Whether you like certain political aspects or not, we need to go. The truth is that the realities around us impose their own peculiarities on this,” Mishin stated to Sport Express.
In March 2023, the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended allowing Russian athletes who did not express support for the war and have no affiliation with military structures to participate in international competitions. These recommendations, however, do not apply to team sports.
