Tatiana Tarasova: I think that Aleksandra and Dmitrii couldn’t handle the competition. It’s probably tough when two good pairs are training together.

I don’t know what else it’s related to. There are young specialists working in the Tutberidze team. Trankov and Tikhonov work in pair skating.

Well they switched. God willing, it will work out for them.

We’ll see, Tamara Nikolaevna brought them to the highest level, they are champions. Beyond that, we’ll see their development.

Alexander Zhulin: Apparently, the guys have seen how well Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov skated under Eteri Georgievna’s guidance. I think they got tired of competing in the same group with Anastasia Mishina and Aleksandr Galliamov.

I know from my own experience – I worked in the same team with Olympic champions Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko, and with two-time Olympic champions Oksana Grishuk and Evgeni Platov.

But we were friends, everything was decided on the ice. This is a difficult moment, someone needs absolute attention. Any decision must be respected.

Maxim Trankov: We are all on vacation now, we will meet in Novogorsk in June and then discuss further aspects related to pair skating in the Tutberidze group.

Right now, I’m not even thinking about it. Eteri Georgievna and Sergei Viktorovich (Dudakov) are at training camp in Turkey, Daniil Markovich is on vacation. I’m also going on vacation, so we haven’t talked about these topics yet.

In recent years, rumors have been circulating that as soon as Nastya Mishina and Sasha Galliamov moved from Lyudmila Georgievna Velikova’s group to Moskvina’s group, these talks appeared that they (Boikova and Kozlovskii) would go somewhere else.

They were said to be leaving for Nina Mikhailovna Moser or somewhere else. So I can’t really call it a big surprise.

Artur Dmitriev: At such a high level, like the one the guys have reached, it is very rare for two or three competing pairs to maintain the ability to train together.

It is very difficult, especially when both are capable of taking first place. It is, you know, such a purely leadership feeling: only I should be first.

Of course, I do not know all the intricacies of the guys’ work with Moskvina, I am only speculating about what stands out from the outside, but what I have been observing for several years now – ambition towards goals, towards rivals, towards everything in their environment – fits into this picture precisely.
