RUSADA informed he World Anti-Doping Agency that Kamila Valieva was not at fault for the anti-doping rule violation. WADA will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

According to the results of the RUSADA investigation, the results of Kamila Valieva at the Russian Nationals-2022 have been cancelled. Gold goes to Alexandra Trusova.

“Instead of large-scale action, RUSADA ruled that Valiyeva should only be suspended for one day of the 2021 Russian Championships, when she tested positive. Thus, Kamila will definitely lose the title of 2022 Russian champion but RUSADA decided to leave the rest of the awards to the figure skater.” wrote a Russian journalist on his Telegram

In February 2022, during the Beijing Olympics, it became known that Valieva passed a positive doping test for trimetazidine, while the sample itself was taken in December at the Russian Nationals.

In November, WADA appealed to the CAS to ban Valieva for four years.
