About what does the bronze medal of the Russian Nationals mean for her

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: Probably, this medal can be compared with the silver of the World Championships. It’s number one for me right now.

Also, this bronze is more significant for me than silver at the 2015 Russian Nationals. I don’t even remember my emotions, but then I didn’t understand what a difficult competition it was, I was young.

I think if I had done a triple flip it wouldn’t have changed the place, so I’m happy with the result. I already told Kamila that I’m glad that I came so close to her, I didn’t have such a small gap from her.

The mood is excellent, I am very happy with the outcome of the competitions. It means that everything is not in vain, that I do not work in vain and do not skate in vain. That’s a pretty big motivation.

I lost concentration a little, on emotions after a good 3-3 combination. But I’m glad this mistake didn’t break the program.

I did not know what the results were before me, but I heard the scores of Sophia Muravieva. There was no calculation, I was just hoping for the best.

I am extremely glad that I can give a press conference today, that I’m on a pedestal. The Russian Nationals is the most responsible and nervous competition, I am glad that I withstood it, like everyone who is present here.

We all made ourselves a good present for the New Year. I can feel nothing but positive emotions.

About withdrawing from competitions

This time, some athletes withdrew from the competition. Have you had such experience?

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: I have never withdrew already at the Russian Nationals, I just skipped it. However, in my career for a long time there were situations when I did not compete in the free program for medical reasons.

That is, you are fine when an athlete showed up, but then decided not to compete?

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: If health does not allow, then, of course, it is better to take care of yourself than to force your body to make complex elements. This can only make the situation worse. Therefore, first of all, the most important thing is myself.

About being the last adult figure skater to win a medal at the Russian Nationals.

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: Who is the last adult figure skater who took medals at the Russian Nationals? Probably me? Is it true? I’m shocked, I didn’t even think about it. On a global scale, this does not change anything. You shocked me a little. It’s probably nice.

Age minimum? You can talk about this topic for a long time. There are advantages both at a young age and more mature age. I don’t have a clear answer.

About competing with young girls

Akatieva won the Russian Nationals, Valieva became the second, Tuktamysheva – the third.

“It’s cool to compete with you, it’s you who move me forward. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be skating like this. This is also your merit,” Tuktamysheva said at a press conference.

About what you need to do to stay in the sport for a long time

What needs to be done to skate as long?

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: First, it’s sleep regimen. I thought that I would laugh it off, but I will answer seriously, because it is important. Sleep regimen, nutrition, love for yourself, love for your work and not to … (“Dwell on it!” – prompts Valieva)

Dwell? Well, not quite, but take it a little easier – it’s just a sport.

About prize money

Have you ever won or got a million rubles at a time?

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: I don’t remember, but I won the World Championships, it seems that prize money were bigger there.

There was a different exchange rate.

Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: By the way, yes … In general, I don’t know, I didn’t think about it (laughs).
