On Friday 12th, August at the Moscow sports complex “Luzhniki” the ceremony of awarding state awards to Russian Olympians were held.

Anna Shcherbakova: It is a great honor for me to receive such a high award. It is impossible to go such a long way in sports alone, so I want to thank my family, coaches, federation for their care. I also want to thank our state for the development and support of athletes. Here I would like to recall our pre-Olympic training camp in Krasnoyarsk, where all the conditions were as close as possible to the Olympics. We lived and trained in a bubble, felt safe, and were able to adapt to the time zone. Special thanks for the meeting following the results of the Olympics, it was very important and pleasant for us to feel such incredible support, which we lacked at the Olympics due to restrictions.
