The Canadian Figure Skating Federation withdrew a request about the Russian pair skater Natalia Zabiiako.

This was announced by the General Director of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKR) Alexander Kogan.
‘The Canadian Figure Skating Federation has previously contacted us about Natalia Zabiiako and has already sent us a refusal of this request. At the moment, Zabiiako is a Russian figure skater,’ Kogan said.
In May of this year, it became known that Zabiiako intends to resume her sports career. The athlete moved to Canada, where she trained under the guidance of Bruno Marcottae in a pair with new partner Zachary Daleman, the pair’s first performance in Canada was scheduled for August.
June 20th, coach Bruno Marcotte told TASS that Natalia Zabiiako edned her training in Canada and returned to Europe.
‘Natalia flew to Europe,’ said Marcotte. “I’m sorry, because she improved every day.”
In Russia, Zabiiako slated with Alexander Enbert, they are the silver medalists of Pyeongchang-2018 Olympics in the team event. The pair ended their careers in February 2020 due to partner’s health issues.
