Tatiana Tarasova: Ilia came up with a good idea. It’s always better to have at least something than nothing at all. He is absolutely right. But, unfortunately, this is not possible now.
China will definitely not agree to take part in such a competitions. If they compete in the same competitions with us, they will be immediately withdrawn because we are disqualified. This is an ISU rule. The Japanese and Chinese know this very well. After all, they will disqualify the whole country, completely. I admit, Ilia may not know that.
At the moment we can only compete with ourselves. We have the opportunity to hold only such competitions as the Russian Nationals and the Russian Cup. There is no other alternative. But these competitions are quite bright!

You can even organise and compete in the Z-cup displaying the greatness of the regime. You might even get good funding from the regime for such a cup.
