WADA expects RUSADA to complete investigation into Valieva case by August 8
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) expects the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) to complete its investigation into the anti-doping rule violation case by figure skater Kamila Valieva by August 8.

“According to the international standard for results management in the interests of fair and effective sports justice, anti-doping rule violations must be investigated in a timely manner,” the press office said.
“Regardless of the type of anti-doping rule violation, and except in cases of complex issues beyond the control of the Anti-Doping Organization and delays on the part of the Athlete, Anti-Doping Organizations must do everything to complete the results management and hold a hearing at first instance within six months from the date of notices [of anti-doping rule violations].”
A spokesman for the World Anti-Doping Agency said that the notification was made on February 8. “As for the investigation being carried out in the entourage of the athlete, I cannot comment on it, since it is ongoing.”
