“Kamila Valieva’s temporary suspension has been lifted and ROC remains with gold medal. But WADA may appeal this decision to CAS.” sports agent Andrei Mitkov
Sports agent Andrei Mitkov spoke about the situation with a possible positive doping test of Kamila Valieva and the figure skating team event at the Beijing Olympics.
Russia won gold in the team event, but the International Olympic Committee (IOC) postponed the awards ceremony, referring to urgent legal advice from the International Skating Union (ISU).
On Wednesday, the portal Inside the Games published the news that the reason for the delay in the awards ceremony could be problems with Valieva’s doping test.
“Kamila Valieva’s temporary suspension has been lifted.
The ROC team was left with the gold of the team event in Beijing.
But WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) may appeal this decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS),” Mitkov wrote on his telegram channel.
