According to Rsport the reason for the postponement of the medal ceremony following the results of the figure skating team event at the Beijing Olympics was a situation that requires legal consultation with the International Skating Union (ISU), this was reported by press service of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

First the awards ceremony was supposed to take place on Monday, but it was posponed to Tuesday, February 8th. A new date for the event will be determined at a later date.

“Today, a situation has urgently arisen that requires legal consultation with the ISU,” the IOC press service said.

  1. Dr. Peter Venkman says:

On a more serious note, when during the Closing Ceremonies will be when the wild Pandas are released on the streets of Beijing, China (like the running of the bulls in Pamplona,Spain) to chase blind-folded foreign athletes who have tested+ for Covid, but who unfortunately are still quarantined at the conclusion of these Games???

  2. Nothing was explained. ISU and IOC do not want to devulge what the legal ramifications are that are the reason for this continuing delay. Something big is up! They will try to cover it up, “for the good of the sport”! RIGHT!
