Elizaveta Tuktamysheva: I’m incredibly happy that I qualified. I have been waiting for this for a very long time, it was my goal. I get tremendous pleasure from major competitions.
I like the atmosphere (of the main competitions), when you come, check into a hotel, come to training, where are all your foreign friends. You all communicate, you can see old friends. It is very cool.
I want to enjoy these competitions and show my programs solidly. I am not completely satisfied with the performance at the Cup Final, as there were some mistakes. I would like to bring the programs to perfection. So that there was satisfaction after the performance.
There are plans for a quadruple toe loop, but after an illness it still does not turn out stably. I think at the World Championships it will be more important to skate two programs clean than to take risks. But we’ll see. My life changes at the snap of my fingers. I can’t make predictions. But to qualify for the Olympics, you need a quadruple. It’s hard to compete without quads now.

Congratulations Liza! Best of luck for worlds, so proud of you!
Lisa, congratulation. I’m very happy for you. We will see, whether we can find only one of the Youngsters of today in the age of 24 at your place in the future. With 13 and 14 many children can jump quadruples ….but with 24 this is a complete other galaxy. The same thing with 3a.
Congrats to her! After such a long time, it is well and fully deserved!
“It’s hard to compete without quads now.” Spoken by the Empress!! <3
