The Australian figure skating pair Anastasiia Golubeva and Hector Giotopoulos Moore have announced the end of their partnership.

Golubeva and Moore were the winners of the Junior Grand Prix Final (2022/2023) and two-time silver medalists at the World Junior Championships (2021/2022, 2022/2023). At the 2026 Olympic Games, they finished in 18th place.

Anastasiia posted on her Instagram page:

“Hi everyone,

I never wanted to share heartbreaking news during this off-season, but our partnership with Hektor has come to an end.

These six years were the most beautiful years of my life. I have never been happier, and I’m endlessly grateful for everything we went through together. We experienced so many ups and downs, but no matter what happened, we were always there for each other and always showed up together.

Hek, I wish you nothing but the very best.
You mean so much to me, and I will forever cherish every single second of our incredible journey and career together.

You opened the world of pair skating for me, and for that I will always be grateful. Thank you for believing in me, for fighting beside me, and for sharing all those unforgettable moments on and off the ice.

Figure skating is still my biggest passion, and I know my journey in this sport is not over yet.
Right now, I need some time to heal and process everything, but I’m still motivated to continue my career and I’m open to a new partnership for the next chapter of my journey.

Thank you everyone for your love and support. It truly means the world to me.”

Hector also posted on his page:

“Hey everyone,

So… I’ve decided to take a step back from competitive skating. I’m not sure what this means for me in the future, but for now I would like to move back home to Australia to be with my family and figure it out.

I want to thank OWIA, ISA, AIS, NSWIS and SFSC for always supporting us as people and as skaters as we navigated our way through this incredible sport we all love so much!!

Thank you Julie and Vanessa for helping us through some of the toughest parts of our career and always standing by our sides and being there for Anastasiia and I. Julie, thank you for giving us a second home here in Montreal, you have always done your best to help and support us.

Thank you, Galina. You’ve believed in me since I first started my skating journey with you and Andrei. From when I was a little 7 year old kid in Aus to performing on the biggest stages that the world of Figure skating has to offer. Without you, your support, sacrifices and guidance – our dreams wouldn’t have been able to come true.

Nastya, it has been the most amazing 6 years skating with you. We’ve been through so much together and through everything, we’ve always been there for each other and you will always hold a very special place in my heart. I’m grateful for every moment we spent together and I have no regrets. I wish you every success and I hope all of your dreams come true. You will forever be a part of my family, and I will always be there for you!

I’m not sure what the future holds. However, as always, I’m looking forward to it!
Thank you everyone for all your support and for being a part of this crazy journey so far!
Lots of love – Hek!”
