“I liked it, honestly. She seems so much more grown-up, calmer. I just can’t imagine how I would have felt in her place – coming out like that, for the first time in so many years. “Of course, it’s cool. Because I honestly didn’t believe she would come back. Even though I said, ‘Yes, I believe,’ inside I thought it was a serious challenge, and four years is a lot, an unreal amount. When she looked me in the eyes and said, ‘I will,’ I was like, ‘Wow.’
But there’s the point about the quad toe, the axel… She looks amazing, and she has it all. But to really put it all together in a program, to have everything polished—of course, she needs a bit more time. But there’s always next season,” added Alexei Yagudin.
