The Russian Challenge show program competition took place recently in Saint Petersburg. Alexandra Trusova (Ignatova) and her husband, Makar Ignatov, performed a program during which they announced at the end that they are expecting a child.
“This competition was special for us! We shared our happiness with all of you! I want to say a big thank you to Channel One for allowing us to reveal the pregnancy during the Russian Challenge event! Many thanks to Irina Zhuk for choreographing this wonderful program. It was such a pleasure working with you! And, of course, a huge thank you to everyone for your support and warm wishes! Makar and I read everything, and it means so much to us.
Unfortunately, you won’t see me in shows until November! But Makar will keep delighting you throughout April on Yana Rudkovskaya and Evgeni Plushenko’s Tales of Plushenko tour,” Trusova posted on social media.
The Ignatov family announced that they were expecting a baby during the Russian Challenge. At the end of their performance to the song “It Won’t Be Cold,” Alexandra revealed her rounded belly, and a video of the skater’s ultrasound appeared on the screen.
