At the Ice Show “Bloom on Ice” press conference Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara shared that they are aiming to introduce new techniques next season. Here’s transaltion of the comment.

In response to a question about “what kind of flower they want to bloom,” referring to the ice show title, Miura revealed, “I can’t give many details, but I’d like to incorporate a new technique during the season.” Kihara also said, “There is a technique that is like a dream.”

“I was told by a doctor that six weeks of rest are necessary. As soon as it’s over, I’ll be back on the ice,” Kihara shared regrading his shoulder injury. They will prepare for next season after a short-term rest.

Their participation in the show was cancelled due to an injury but they are enthusiastic about “boosting from outside the rink.” “There are few opportunities to see the show of active skaters at such a distance,” she said reffering to the audience seats being set up inside the rink.
