Figure skater Valeria Lukashova commented on her victory at the Moscow Championship. The 12-year-old student of Eteri Tutberidze scored a total of 231.86 points. Elena Kostyleva took second place (225.74 points), and Alena Prineva closed the top three (215.80 points).

“The desire to qualify for the Russian Junior Nationals and skate better than last season helped me a lot. I plan to perform the same content at the nationals. The atmosphere here was calm: I approached it as if it were a practice session, and I had the same feelings on the ice. It wasn’t difficult to learn the quadruple lutz; I learned it on the second day I started jumping it. Sometimes I jump a quadruple loop, salchow, but I’m not learning anything else. I tried the triple axel, but it’s not going very well,” Lukashova told TASS.
