According to the agency’s information, the figure skaters are considering the option of switching to the French national team.
It is noted that the plans to change citizenship for Morozov and Eremenko appeared about six months ago. Initially, the athletes planned to compete in the Russian Nationals and, if necessary, begin the process of document processing afterward.
Earlier sources reported that Morozov and Yermenko left coach Anjelika Krylova and plan to train in the United States. The duo will be supervised by coach Nikolai Morozov, Annabelle’s father.
In this season, the duo performed with a rhythm dance at the Grand Prix stage in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, but had to withdraw from the free dance due to Annabelle’s injury, who suffered a deep cut to her leg after a collision in warm-up with Elizaveta Shanaeva.
