In June, the Georgian Figure Skating Federation confirmed that the silver medalists of the Russian Nationals Davis and Smolkin will represent the Georgian national team from the 2023/24 season. At the end of June, the CSP sent an official request to the FFKKR regarding the transition of athletes. Based on the federation’s response, the CSP demanded compensation. CSP Director Georgy Brusov said on Tuesday that the FFKKR transferred the funds spent on the preparation of figure skaters to the organization.
“The representatives of the pair paid the necessary amount, and the federation yesterday transferred the money to the CSP in full accordance with their request. So all the necessary procedures have been completed. The issue is closed,” FFKR press-secretary Ermolina told Match TV.
Davis and Smolkin are silver medalists of the Russian Nationals, participants of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. The skaters did not compete in domestic competitions last season.

Would be interesting to see how the amount was calculated;) Coaching staff costs, travels, medics, costumes, ice time… Is this the new norm now?
As far as I know they returned only salaries that they were getting as national team members.
