Daniil Gleikhengauz: The season is unusual, no doubt about it. And the absence of international competitions is certainly disappointing.
But what the Figure Skating Federation of Russia and Channel One have done, the number of broadcasts and competitions, all of this helped maintain the high level that our athletes showed on the international stage, not falling behind in difficulty, quality of choreography, or elements.
At all the competitions we had in our country in women’s skating, elements were performed that were not seen at the World Championships.
We will continue to show our high level, and then look to the future and hope that someday we can again step onto the international stage.
Gleikhengauz also noted that Ilia Malinin impressed him a lot.

The level of programs for boys and the movements, ideas, artistic images that they show [at the World Championships] – we need to strive for this, work in this direction.
